After the storm

Signs your roof may have storm damage.

Hail bruises shingles and loosens their protective granules. It often looks fine from the yard but leaks a season or two later. If you notice any of these, book a free inspection:

  • Granules collecting in gutters or at downspouts
  • Dents in gutters, vents, flashing or AC fins
  • Missing, creased or lifted shingles after high winds
  • Water stains on ceilings or in the attic
  • Neighbors getting roofs replaced after the same storm

Don’t wait too long. Most policies set a deadline to report storm damage. Check yours — we’ll inspect before you call your insurer, so you know whether a claim makes sense.

Insurance claim help

We document the damage. You stay in control of your claim.

Insurance claims can feel overwhelming. We’ll explain each step in plain English, give your adjuster the evidence they need, and make sure the approved scope is built right.

  1. 01

    Free inspection

We inspect the roof, gutters and attic and send a photo report within 24 hours.

  2. 02

    You file the claim

If there’s storm damage, you contact your insurer. We tell you what to have ready.

  3. 03

    We meet the adjuster

Your project manager walks the roof with the adjuster so nothing is missed.

  4. 04

    Review the scope

We go through the insurer’s estimate with you line by line before you sign anything.

  5. 05

    Build & walkthrough

Most roofs are installed in one or two days, followed by a final walkthrough and photos.

We’re a roofing contractor, not a public adjuster or your insurer: your insurance company decides what is covered. We never offer to waive or rebate your deductible — it’s illegal in Texas and many other states.

Services

Everything your roof needs, from one local crew.

Asphalt, architectural and impact-resistant shingles, metal roofing and gutters — installed by our own crews, never subcontracted out.

Roof replacement

Full tear-off, deck inspection, new underlayment, flashing and ventilation. Most homes done in 1–2 days.

Local & family-run

We live under the same skies you do.

Northgable started with one truck and a simple rule: tell homeowners the truth about their roof, even when the answer is “you don’t need us yet.” We don’t chase storms from out of state — we’re here before the hail and long after it.

  • Our own trained crews — no day-labor subcontracting
  • Safety harnesses and fall protection on every roof
  • Manufacturer-certified installation*

FAQ

Questions we hear after every storm.

Call or text (555) 010-0163, or ask our assistant any time.

Is the inspection really free?

Yes. No cost and no obligation. You get a written photo report whether or not you hire us — and if your roof is fine, we’ll tell you.

Will insurance pay for my new roof?

Only your insurance company can decide that. Policies usually cover sudden storm damage, not normal wear. We document the damage, help you understand your policy terms and meet your adjuster on-site.

Do I have to pay my deductible?

Yes. Your deductible is part of your policy, and contractors can’t legally waive, rebate or absorb it in Texas. Financing can help spread out-of-pocket costs.

How long does a roof replacement take?

Most homes are completed in one or two days, weather permitting. We protect your landscaping and clean up every evening.

What does a new roof cost?

It depends on size, pitch and materials. Many homes in our area fall between $10,000 and $25,000. You’ll get a written, itemized estimate after your free inspection.

What warranty do I get?

A 10-year workmanship warranty from us, plus the shingle manufacturer’s material warranty. Both are provided in writing.
